Flax Earrings
Disc of recycled glass cut from a recycled bottle with an image of the New Zealand native flax bush (Harakeke) fused onto the surface. Finished with handmade recycled sterling silver hooks.
Harekeke was a plant widely used by both Maori and European settlers. Its uses ranged from clothing, baskets and as a building material to rope and sailmaking.
Hook length: 19mm (0.75 in), Disc size: 20mm (0.8 in).
